Oops! We thought we'd fiddle around with the HTML code in our last post ( the one about Delft). Well, that was a bad idea (slecht idee) . So we lost all of the "stuff" we had before.

Days in Delft - they took a mini-vacation!

Our humans spent some beautiful Days in Delft - drawing, photo making, learning a little Dutch history, mostly relaxing and enjoying Dutch beer! While we were Home Alone !!! Hmm, well kind of home alone, we had our young Ducth human, we think of him as our brother (broer), looking after us. Wij houden van hem (we love him).

Finn really loves his human brother, he likes to pester him while he's reading the newspaper (krant) ... but that's another story.

So, on with more about Delft!
Delft is the city of wonderful white bridges over the city's many canals or so they tell us, we've never been there! Meoww! It's also a city of history ( what city isn't in Nederland ?), art and science. Johannes Vermeer is the most famous artist associated with the city of Delft, Anthonie van Leewenhoek the scientist and inventor of the microscope was from Delft, and of course, the world famous Delft porcelain factory is there.

This is a small watercolor sketch our American mom did of the canal houses in Delft. She does these sketches & drawings in her Moleskine sketchbooks ... she's sort of gone nuts over the Moleskines. The things humans just have to have, really amuses cats. *cat giggle*

Cats and Flowers ... what a combo.

We had a picture here, but it was the wrong one. Our excuse?... we're cats! Anyway ....

A nice picture of my brother Finn, being Finn...perched on his "tower", giving his "why are you bothering me ?" look.

 

So, with uncooperative cats like us, our American decided that flowers were better models. She still hasn't captured me, by the way! meowwwww! :-)

That's what's been going on in our world. The weather has been sort of cold this week, rainy, and we've been stuck inside a lot... jammer (shame or bummer). Of course, I do sneak out, even when it rains, but Finn, well he's happier up in his torren (tower)
