Ok so it's true, we are bad sometimes, we freely admit that fact - but we never imagined that our blog would be Banned in China. Yes, 'tis true! One of our faithful readers has informed us (via other means...heh heh) that this blog has been "Blocked in Beijing"! HAHAHAHA!!!! We find this news incredibly amusing. Sorry, but we just can't stop laughing about it. What nonsense (onzin) !

This is Sacha's reaction to the news.

We wonder what in the world we have blogged about that could possibly be so subversive?? HAHAHAHA!!

So, we were thinking we could give ourselves a "blog award" for this achievement. Why not?! Unlike so many other blog awards we read about, this would be really something to be awarded for, don't you think?!!! hahahaha ... oh man!

We hope that our blog reader in China, who informed us of this silliness (why is there so much nonsense in the world?), can someday see our blog again. On the otherhand (paw?), maybe we're happy to be "Banned in China", since cats sometimes wind up on the menus overthere! Yikes!

UPDATE! Amazing!! (Ongelofelijk) Not to be believed! (Niet te geloven!) LOL !!! No sooner do we publish this post about being banned in China, than we get a visitor from Beijing within the last hour! Now, is this too wierd or what? HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Too bad, we've decided that we're going to be dedicated to being bad cats! roflol

P.S. (for anyone that might be interested - except maybe the people in China! hahahaha) : Our "mom & dad's " Uncle in Friesland is still a constant concern for them. He is getting a bit better, but this looks to be a long struggle for him. "Mom & Dad" are still making the trips up there to see him. He enjoys their visits and they are glad they can lighten his spirits, if only a little bit.

We're sorry - Het spijt ons

We're sorry that we haven't posted for a bit. :-(

Among other things going on right now, our human "dad's " Uncle (papa's Oom) has been the victim of a serious stroke (herseninfarct) . He lives up in Friesland, so our humans are making several trips to the hospital ( ziekenhuis) up there to see him.

"Mom" and "Dad" are currently very concerned about him, as you might imagine. So, we're taking a short break from blogging, but we'll be back as soon as we can.

Friesland is one of the 12 provinces ( provincies) of the Netherlands. It is about a 2 hour drive, each way, from the Utrecht province (well, where we live, that is) . This is an estimated driving time that doesn't include the always present traffic jams (files) .

Friesland was the first to acknowledge the independence of the United States of America from the Kingdom of Great Britain (on February 26, 1782). Yay!, LOL ( and our human "papa" is Fries!... heh heh ... see, it works, he married an American!)

Meanwhile, it is really spring (lente) here and this is what we've been doing in our back garden (achtertuin) . We're cats and we love being outside. :o)

she did the same thing last Spring, but it was snowing then!

So bear with us, we can't type without our "mom"! She has been writing up the pea soup recipe (in two languages even) and has pictures of the ingredients - just sorting it out before she'll let us post it (heh heh) ... so eventually, "we'll be back" (Finn imitates Arnold very well ... lol) !

For our blog readers who are learning Nederlands, here are the Dutch words (and a couple of extras) in this post:
Uncle = Oom
stroke = Herseninfarct, hersenbloeding (literally, "brain bleeding")
hospital = ziekenhuis ( literally, "sick house")
Dad = Papa

traffic/traffic jam = file (plural form is files)
Spring = lente

Amazing! Yes, we did it. This blog is one year old today.
March 1, 2006 was our first post; "Geen Idee!"
