Tulipa humilis, 'Persian Pearl'

Tulipa humilis Persian Pearl is a miniature charmer! It easily naturalizes, is an annual you don't have to dig up after the blooming season, flowers early and grows to approx. 15cm (6") in height. They look best planted in groups of, at least, 15-20 bulbs ... in my opinion.
Although the weird, late, hard freeze we had this winter stunted many of my tulips, a lot of these little Persian Pearls appear to have weathered the severe conditions pretty well. I love seeing their bright magenta petals amongst all the greens. :o)

Hello, i was just looking a google pictures and i saw a drawing of my (and my parents) house, it is the bar at champsac (you drawed the side of my house), i was very imprested and it put a smile on my face to see that you hade a good time here in may 2011. By the way the donkeys name is sarkozy =')
Hi Hannah! Thanks for your comment about my drawing of the bar in Champsac :o) Yes, we really did enjoy ourselves in your lovely village.
We might just stop by again this coming May, when we'll be back in France.
