"Mom" has been working the last few days on the colored pencil piece above, but it doesn't look like it will be finished before Easter! She's also been busy decorating the house... excuses, excuses!!

Whenever "mom" draws her tempting chocolate pieces, she always works from life rather than photos. The chocolates sit on the paper (or her desk) as you see above. Personally, I think she's been eating too many chocolate eggs instead of doing the drawing and that's the real reason it isn't finished! "Papa" laughs at her when she says she needs to find some more "models" because the ones she had have all mysteriously disappeared. No wonder she prefers to draw these chocs from life!

This is a colored pencil drawing on drafting film, which is faster than her usual technique on paper, but I've also been pestering her all week. I have to confess, I ate a decorated real egg yesterday! The egg had cracks in it and, well, I'm a little farm cat and the smell of the egg inside was just too tempting for me... heh heh. I rolled it off the kitchen table, onto the tile floor and picked my way through the colorful shell ..."Mom" wasn't too pleased with me. Oops! ; )

It looks like we may have snow for Easter Sunday! Wasn't that supposed to be for Christmas? Oh well, we're having weird weather for sure! Today we had icy rain mixed with wet snow. Our poor tulip babies were shivering.

"Mom" put bags on top of the three large pots to protect them from further freezing rain and possible snow ... we'll see what Sunday brings and just how far along "mom" has progressed with this drawing by then! I bet there will be no "models" left behind

Tot Zondag! (until Sunday)
